Wow, it has been so long I almost forgot how to do this!  (ok, so I did forget, but it came back slowly:)  But thanks to a much loved friend, I'll just take a moment to fill you in on the joy that comes from anticipating the birth of our Savior.  So many traditions this time of year, but none fill me with joy quite like music and giving.  This has been an especially peaceful and joyous year in both regards.  Thanks to my YAF small group for joining me to share the joy of the season with neighbors while caroling.  And special thanks to all the Christian High choir members who TRULY blessed me with the gift of their voices.  I am definitely in the mood for Christmas now!  Wish I could have made it to Andrew and Helen's concert--but I heard that was AMAZING also.  Something about music that speaks directly into my heart.  So many things to be thankful for--health, work/school break, family, friends.

Okay, my latest observation.  Procrastination is over-rated!  Have a class/test for recertication in newborn resuscitation tomorrow with a nine chapter textbook.  And as of this afternoon I had only reviewed 3.  So now I'm cramming.  Why do we put ourselves through it?  Why didn't I just do a few chapters yesterday?  Was I just trying to relate to those of you who put things off til the last minute, because that usually isn't my style.

Anyway, my study break is now over.  Say a prayer for me tomorrow that I don't make a fool of myself:)  And maybe I'll do some soul-searching about what really motivates me.

Peace~Christy

Okay Andrew--Thanks for calling me out on this one! Yes I did fall off the Xanga bandwagon.  But thanks to my dear friend for lifting me back on.

Life is good but crazy--I could use a quiet evening at home.  But then I'd blow it by trying to be industrious and get all my "stuff" done.

I LOVE YAF!!!  It is so good to be back with all of you!  Looking forward to this weekend, but I'm bringing a raincoat.  I so hope I don't have to use it.  Still struggling with the super hero thing, I'm just NOT creative.  Any help?  I know I'd love to wear a cape!

Did I say I love my family?  In spite of the frustration I tend to complain about, I must admit each of those girls just pulls on my heartstrings in unique ways.  And Art--he still knows how to melt my heart and make me laugh.

Can you believe the sun has been shining all day?  How can I stay inside and work when it  keeps beckoning my name?  I love sunny days in the fall.  They just don't happen often enough.  Anyone want to join me in jumping in a pile of leaves?  Maybe in a couple weeks we'll have enough!

Hugs & Blessings~Christy
